Finally Cycled!!!

The waiting is over. My tank has finally cycled!

I went to the LFS yesterday and picked up 6 Neon Tetras and they seem to be doing great. After acclimating them, they stayed together near the bottom of the tank, behind the decorations. Then they slowly began venturing out and about the tank.

Now they are happily (I HOPE) chasing each other around the tank. After more than a month of looking at an empty fish tank it's so great to look in and see the little guys swimming around.

My brother-in-law is bringing his old 10 gallon, I think, so I can set up a quarantine tank. Let the cycling begin, again

Congrats on the cycle! Keep an eye on those neons, they can be pretty sensitive to fluctuating water parameters.

For the QT, you can stick an extra filter cartridge in your newly cycled tank to help seed it. Or, if you already have the filter for the QT, you can run it alongside your tank's filter.

yeah! I am happy for you, I can't wait t get my new tank up and running! mine should be cycled quick because I have access to seeded media and gravel (which is a real advantage!) which cycles the tank real quick. -fishlover78
