CockTail Day

Well, today is the day all fishes[worms or no worms] get their little cocktail of treats lol and that is why the big water change. The betta's, goldies and the little puffer will all get frozen shrimp, bloodworms, dalphina, and some veggies for goldies. They all just love it and i add a little garlic gard as that stuff rules lol. all fishies just love this mixture lol and the Betta's just attack it and the goldies as well. The Goldie's veggies consist of zuccini, peas and green beans and squash Boy,the cooking i do for fishies lol but they all enjoy their little cocktail bella.

You really do spoil your little fishies - lucky little guys! Mine aren't eating much right now as they are sleeping at the bottom of the pond. We have had freeze warnings the last two nights (no ice on the pond, but ice on the lawn). Mine get their special treats when the weather warms up.

Gremlin; i believe when you bring a pet into your home they are part of the family and why not spoil them lol. My shih-tzu's are spoiled as well and they get their special cocktail on sundays as well. You ott to see the stampede to the kitchen lol. It, starts about 6-am with the younger dog waking me-she knows it's her day.bella

Oh, my fish get spoiled. It's just that they spend the winter outside, and they aren't too interested in eating very much right now. Trust me, the minute they show any signs of wanting to eat something in the winter (on some of our warmer days), I have a bottle of tubifex worms out there that I feed them. They love those wormies and don't get them everyday. I also give them lettuce leaves when I buy lettuce for us. My Mom likes the tenderer inside leaves for her sandwiches and salads, so I can give the larger darker leaves to my fishies. They love them and usually have them stripped in one day. My dream tank would be 2 walls (and the corner between them) that are acrylic and open to an outdoor pond so I have a view of the pond as if it were an aquarium with the corner of the room sectioned off with an indoor tank so the fish can swim under the wall and into the tank in the house. The best of both worlds!

I usually order them from Drs Foster and Smith. I get the pond pellets for my goldfish, and tubifex worms for the mosquito fish (and the goldfish), and treats and toys for my puppy (of course). It is actually cheaper forme to get the pellets and stuff from them than from a local store. Also, they have the treats that my dog loves.

Yeah, Gremlin, i just emailed DR.Foster's today to see if they deliver to Canada as they do have some excellant buy's on their site lol and i'm hoping i can get some vita-Chem and med's but i think there is a restriction on some chemical's to Canada lol.If they put it in a shipping box i don't know if it would be able to come through with some chemical's, but i'm hoping lol. bella

With any luck at all, you may be able to at least get the tubifex worms.
