Hardiest "Red" fish...?

I am redoing an cycled 55 gallon and I would like to add 6-8 "hardy" red colored fish.
At the moment I have 3 BA Tetras, 1 E. Pleco and 4 Bronze Corys.
TIA
Drew

I'd go for Cherry Barbs or Glolight Danio's. They're both pretty hardy!

Platies are very pretty as well, as long as you get the same sex unless you're wanting to breed.

one question why necessarily ''hardy fish'' with the right care and maintenance you don't have to limit yourself too a specific fish in my opinion.

Cowardliness, Physical Limitations, Economics, Softheartedness.

For extreme hardiness (and cheapness), I'll add my vote for Cherry barbs! The males in their scarlet breeding colours can match any more exotic fish.

If you decide on them, don't be put off by their pale and washed out looks in the petstore. They'll colour up brilliantly once they're home.

I thought hardy fish, where fish who can withstand water parameter fluctuations. hence fish like danios being used for cycling, not that i approve of this.

Yes, hardy fish are ones who are capable of dealing with fluctuations or less-than-perfect water conditions. Cowardliness, physical limitations, economics, and softheartedness are all reasons for wanting hardy fish in the first place

BTW, I vote for Cherry Barbs. Never had them myself, but they sure are pretty!
