feeding cucumber

When feeding a gold apple snail cucumber, is there any guidelines as to how much to feed them at one time? As well as, how often do they require vegetation in their diet? I haven't as of yet purchased the algae disks for him (tomorrow)He appears to love the cucumber and hasn't stopped eating the slice, I gave him more than 2 hours ago.

cukes are a fav of many fishies...weighing it down or using a veggie clip will keep the mess undercontrol a bit..I put mine in at night time, and take it out in the morning...

Heh... there isnt really a "guideline" since they will eat as much as there is in the tank... they are little eating/pooing machines.

You can feed half-a-slice a day to minimize the waste. Bear in mind that they should also eat other stuff, like leftovers from your fish food.

ok good to know. I was hoping that the clown pleco would indulge in the cucumber, but so far he hasnt taken any interest at all. Might not be much left for him if the snail doesnt take a break soon. No kidding when you said that snails are eating/pooing machines.

Lol...yes we sure don't see "spook" very often, and most times dozey and I have our faces up to the tank trying to locate the pleco. His name suits him well, and he only appears to venture out when the lights go out for the night. If he sees us approaching the tank, he darts for the nearest cover.
