I'm in the process of cycling my tank. Im at the point where my ammonia is going from 4ppm to 0 in under 12 hours. My nitrites are off the chart and my nitrates are 40. I've just added 50ml of TSS at 18:00. Will my tank be able to have fish in the morning?
Thanks
Owen

SafeStart is intended to be put in a tank before you start cycling with ammonia, so it is hard to say, but I would tend to doubt it. You could try adding it and then adding ammonia so the bacteria gets fed, then test your water to see what happens with your nitrites.

Your ammonia is being reduced to 00 after 12 hours and nitrites are skyrocketing, with nitrates. You are almost cycled. The safestart will speed that process.Don't add anymore ammonia. Check your readings as you have been. When you get ammonia 00 nitrites 00 nitrates any level you will be ready to stock.Once your readings stabilise,Change the water 50% to reduce nitrates.40 is too high.Maybe not by morning, but soon.
