Python

Well, i purchased it and what a dream to change and refill, water with. After my neighbour hooked it up[i am not mechanical]for me it was wonderful-boy Dozey that sure beats buckets and sooo much easier on the back and neck-if anyone has a back or neck injury[they know what i mean] so much easier and you don't mind water changing.i got it for a good price and i figure the older i get the more the buckets will weigh, so wht not invest to save what little back and neck i have left. just thought i would post for anyone thinking about getting one. They are well worth the price.Filled 2-40-gallons and 1-20-gallon in less then 1-hour. bella

I’m jealous

I broke my back 20 years ago and it’s been operated on 4 times already. Those buckets get heavier with every water change. I will be getting one when I can.

I've noticed a big price difference between my local Big Al's and PetSmart. PetSmart being far cheaper. Just wish I didn't have to buy my fish from either of these places. I always try to save a buck, but I'd sure pay double to get well looked after fish from a family owned LFS.

Foster & Smith had a sale on a cleaning kit with a 25ft python $20.00. I know about Fx back and neck 25y ago on a horse-w/c for a year then behind a desk bummer.............
I only get to use my python on the 75g and 55g all my other tanks, fish to small-don't want to suck them up.....so I put my husband to bucket work LOL.....

I worry about fish getting sucked up, but that's why I watch the tube and have my hand on the cutoff valve. Fish will instinctively swim against sudden, unexplainable suction, because some predators (like bass) will use suction to catch prey, so you've got a bit of time before they reach the hose itself.

Hi: all, mine has a screen over the part that you clean with-so i think there is a lock and release that you can use as well and a shut-off valve and Dozey-i know what you mean i would have thought and did that Big Ale's was a reputable[sp] sourse lol and look at the trouble i've had with fish from there.I think the Momand'Pop little stores are the best if your'e lucky enough to find them lol.i'm still holding my breath and to order online i really don't trust either. I like to see the fish and not a pic.bella
