Cloudy water

What would make water cloudy...I checked the water levels all is good..0 ammonia 0 nitrite 10 nitrate...Just curious if it was a sign of something else going on in the tank.

Its in my 2nd 10 gallon...It has 3 glofish in it..Nothing else...Definatly not overstocked..I don't think it's from over feeding...Those little piggys will eat anything I give them in 3 seconds flat...It's getting more sun then it used to..I moved it to the kitchen...Its this one.

very weird...not sure if sunlight causes cloudyness...but only suggestions I can make is make sure the filter is big enough and doing its job, check the dates of your test kit to make sure its not expired and giving you false readings, and maybe a good vacuum with a water change to see if it reappears?

I'm going to do a 50% waterchange tonight, Test kit is still good..not expired..I'll do 10-25% water changes over the next few days and see what it does..I clean that tank like clockwork but ya never know..I thought maybe the extra sun might be causing a bacteria bloom..Is that possiable?

Well I just ended up doing a 75% water change..lol..I usually do a 50% every friday but I guess I must have fed them alot sometime this week and not known it..The gravel had tons of flake food in it..I guess I wasn't paying attention one time and put to much in there.....Hopefully that will clear it up..Thanks for the advice and the link..Between getting all the flakes out of there and putting blinds up in that room I hope it clears it up..Thanks again Shawnie

Direct sun can cause algae bloom-have you ever tried Purigen by Seachem? it removes soluble and insoluble impurities and it polishes the water, it can be re-charged with bleach and used forever. I got mine from F&S and use it in my aqua-clear, works great for me
