Hey PFP: Thanks for the correction, I'm all confused about Bettas tail types... veiltail it is, glad to know that.

Shawnie: I acknowledge I have a thing for my female Bettas, it goes back to my early days. After all, it was Edda, female betta, that began this turnaround for me. I don't find them vicious at all whatsoever, they are eating from my hand and yes sororities are not like a school of fish, some are really laid back, others hyperactive, the only thing in common is that they all love feeding time, and there's a boss already there... but we are in the process of getting to know each other. It's gonna take some time until I name all of them. I must admit that Eddy (my first male Betta, beautiful Emerald Green Pla Kat) has my heart already.

I love love love the plaks pepe..they are my fave!!! and my boy looks like you are describing eddy! ...I meant vicious as in much more strength and ability to make others back off! not as in vicious with me....all my fishies are hand trained and even my oscars were at one point..now they are so big they deffinately bite the hand that feeds them LOL

Ok got your point! (side-effects of English as a second language, I guess, LOL) You're absolutely right there... Edda charged unwelcome tankmates immediately(e.g. Baby Convicts I dared to place in her 10gal once: trial failed immediately! LOL) she was nasty big time but Eddy, well, he tolerated one Angelfish for a day or two, never went after him but sulked instead, of course that emergency trial failed too!

Eddy is pleased with his tankmates, he was locally raised for fighting, I happened to rescue him from that ominous destiny. I have two other Pla Kat males that came from Thailand with my ladies, one is kind of easy going but the other one is a mad-bull.

Thanks for the Tail correction, very much appreciated. The divider fits tightly in there, it will take a lot of force to flip it (I double checked that). I moved it a bit out of place while arranging things inside the tank... Thanks for the prudent and wise observation, I made a fatal mistake once with a divider... I just placed some river stones at both sides in the bottom, just in case...
