I don't understand

Hey everyone,
I moved my 3 glofish to there new tank today. I left my two baby Angelfish in the other 10gallon, 30 gallon is getting closer to being cycled so it shouldn't be much longer before they can get in there. I checked the water levels of the tank the angels are in and all is well. 0 ammonia 0 nitrite 10 nitrate 7.8 pH. The one angelfish is pretty nippy to the other one and the divider did not work because they kept trying to squeeze through the small opening on the side and getting stuck. I noticed that the top fin on both of them is starting to fray and get white at the top. The back tail on the one is too but I know for a fact it's because the nippy one is well nipping at him. I do my water changes without fail every Friday. I did a 50% Friday and added Stress Coat, I also did another 50% water change today and added stress coat because I noticed it. I'm having a hard time believing it's because of poor water conditions. I haven't seen either on nip at the top fins. Could something else be going on to cause this??...I thought maybe the glofish might have been doing it. Also what should I do about it??..It's really bugging me that something is going on with them. So any help would be great. Thanks guys.

Glofish are a genetically modified varient of Zebra Danios - who become nippy when kept in groups of under 6 because they feel insecure. When you get your angels into the 30gal, I would finish the 10gal's stock with 3 more Glofish so there is 6 - the fish will be much happier!

Yes that is my plan...I acutally might add them before the Angelfish tank is done now that the glofish are in another tank...I was very new to fishkeeping when I bought the glofish so I had no idea...but now that I do and they are in their own tank I will be getting them some buddies. Thank you .

Just a note, 6 is not a magic number. I would suggest adding fish 1 at a time until you find a number that will make your danio's behave. We had a school of 6 danio's and one kept killing the others...we replaced them twice only to have them die a month later. So we just gave up. We're now down to two danio's and they've finally mellowed out. So 2 seems to be our magic number.

Thank you dancerhas..My plans, because I live so far away from a LFS is to get 2 more. I'll add them and if things still look crazy I'll have to do something else. But that is a VERY good idea.. I'm going to be getting another type of schooling fish for a different tank so that will come in handy
