I feel like a noob again! xD

Well, I've decided to start a 10G Planted shrimp tank.
What do I need to do differently from a regular tropical community tank?

Substrate:
I'm either going to go bare bottom with a java moss floor,
or Use Pool Sand... Either way, there's gonna be a moss floor

Filter:
I'm just going to stick with Tetra filters.
But i still haven't decided if I'm going to use they're in-tank filter, or their whisper filter, if i decide to go with the whisper filter, I'm going to get an extra sponge cover for the water intake because I've had a couple of Neon tetras sucked up by the whisper before.

Shrimp:
I'm just going to start off with Red Cherry Shrimp.

Plants:
Java Moss Carpet, maybe a wall covering the back as well.
Java fern
Frogbits, Gonna leave these little guys to float so that the shirimp can hang on these.
Blyxa Japonica
Hemianthus callitrichoides (Dwarf Baby Tears)
and maybe a Red Tiger Fern.

Decor...

That I'm not sure about.

I KNOW that i want to get a small piece of driftwood? And maybe attach a Anubias Nana to it

I'm also thinking of using one of those betta cups or ann actual small clay pot as a cave for the shrimp.

Okay, What else am i missing?

Edit** MAJOR QUESTION!
I just remembered that shrimps are bottom feeders, and that plants prevent algae from growing...
Should I consider putting in less plants?

None of the plants are very fast growing, slow actually, so the algae growth should be okay.Only the faster growing species control algae growth.(at a noticeable rate)

Blyxa Japonica may require CO2 supplements, but that's the only 1,so it may not do well. Everything else is relatively easy, low light, low maintenance.

Driftwood would be good, small pieces generally need to be anchored.Everything sounds like it will be just fine, nice hardy planted aquarium. With all the ground cover and mosses,it would be ideal for shrimp of any type (and fry too)

But my major question right now is, What Filter should i use?

tetra's In-Tank 10G filter, or their whisper filter?

I don't care for in-tank filters, they take up too much room (but that's just me) so I would say the whisper filter would be better of the 2. Me personally,I would go with a DIY canister filter,so there wasn't anything in/on the aquarium cluttering it up.

Well, It's a shrimp tank so yeah, not like the shrimp will swim any higher than most of the plants...
