Yay I found some fry so I have a 3 gallon tank I was going to put them in and I just set it up.... I put some eco start in it and some decor from my 55 gallon, how long will it take to cycle

and will the filter suck up the fry??

I’m not familiar with eco start. But in regards to cycle and filter sucking up the fry. To speed things up use some of your 55 gallon’s filter media in the 3 gallons filter to help. Also some gravel from the 55 would help.

Most 3 gallons I’ve seen have UGF so no it wouldn’t. If it has a pick up put some filter sponge in the pickup. Or you could also use pantyhose over the filter pickup.

I hope I don’t set off another pantyhose threat.
