Albino cory behaviour

Hi,
I recently added 2 albino corys to my tank. Their new tank mates are neons, mountain minows, platies and yoyo loaches.

I just wondered what could be considered typical albino cory behaviour. One in particular seems a bit quiet choosing to lay at the bottom before occassionally zooming to the surface and then back down again.

They also seem very nervous when I gaze adoringly at them through the glass.

Is this the norm or are they not settling in?

Corys are the cutest catfish. I love to watch mine "clean" the tank. Their little whiskers look just like they are sweeping the floor. Mine will also lay quitely at the bottom of the tank for a while, like they are resting then just shoot straight to the top and BLOOP! right back down again. Sounds to me their behavior is completely normal.

I agree with the above posts. All five of mine do the same thing. Aren't they the cutest?

Thank god for that!
I'm very protective of my fish and have spent the past two days peering in on them willing them to be OK. I will now stop acting like such a mother hen and let them get on with it.
They are the sweetest little things by the way - I find it very hard to choose between my platies, yoyo's and the corys. All of them are adorable.
I think my proudest glory though goes to my 18 baby platies who are making me extremely clucky and broody!
Cheers for the posts guys

Well, I do not plan on keeping a cory but I would just search about cory behvior on the internet. Sorry if this was no help but it is how I researched my pleco. Bye for now!

Comical Corys

I have a few corys (mine are not albino) and they tend to do the same thing. They are so comical to watch, but as far as I know which isn't very much about fish mine do the same thing

I had two albino corys, Alfred and Albert, they were my first fish in my 55g tank until an unfortunate event which resulted in death, I hope you hae better luck with yours. I just felt like I had to get that off my chest

I have an albino cory too and that's what he does. He's very active and swims all over the place as well as look through the gravel. Cories are so cute! I plan on getting a couple of panda cories too. I've read that cories prefer groups but mine seems to be doing okay by himself. He's not hiding or scared and will even come up to me when I'm looking at the tank.
