API Master Kit

Hello. found this at walmart.com. I'm thinking it's the same thing as API Master KIT. But it only has 6 bottles mine has 7. It says it test GH and KH but nothing about nitrate. What is the difference in this kit and the kit I have. This one is almost half the price of what I paid at Petsmart. Here is the link http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=3635493

I now what you're looking at. If you read the reviews they say the kit actually contains pH, High Range pH, ammonia, nitrite, Nitrate tests not, GH and KH.

And yeah, much cheaper than the $30+ I spent on it too.

I kept looking for the API symbol or something on the pic but couldn't find it. The reviews do say it is API..and I was confused because there are only 6 bottles..The one I have has 7..It does say its not sold in stores, only online on the website. So I doubt it you'll find it. I think it is API and I think it does test nitrate just because of the reviews but i don't get the bottle number difference.

Thanks Shawnie..I appreciate it. If it really is the API that would be GREAT!!!

I won't be on until later tonight. Santa Claus and Mrs Claus are in town. Tonight is our towns Old Fashion Christmas and Santa Clause magically lights our Main and 1st streets and all the parks. My husband is a Power Lineman for the city so he and the rest of the crew have been preparing for this for a good month now...Husband gets to help santa with the lighting of the town. The girls are going crazy about it..lol..LUCKY DADDY...gets to help Santa. Then we have a BIG drive through park that is done up with christmas scenes and lights and they have a train through another park we have to ride..lol...Husband has been busy and wants to show it off. =-) I'm kinda excited too

That does sounds like a fun night! I hope you have fun.

I've never seen the API master kit sold in Walmart.

Thanks for the info, Shawnie, let us know when it comes in and what it contains.

We had a blast. It was freezing but fun. Santa did a good job and my 3 year old was star struck..lol..She did get a hug from jolly St. Nick though. My 18 month old was in total fear of him. The whole town looks awesome. The parks are great and the train was fun but very cold.

Thanks for doing that Shawnie. I really appreciate you doing the research on this. Wouldn't it be awesome if it was the real deal.

I know. This is my favorite time of the year. Fireplace going, chirstmas tree all lit up, and little ones in feety pj's..lol..I LOVE LOVE it. Getting fish for Christmas is a really good idea. I need a few more fish for my 3 year olds tank and I was going to just get them but I could just pull it off as another christmas gift from Santa...Thanks for the idea. Darn Santa get all the credit for everything

WOW
I just ran out of Nitrate test in my kit. I went to Petco, and the kits they have there have ph high, ph low, ammonia, and nitrite... That's it! DUH! Where is the nitrate test? That is the most important for an established tank! You have to buy it separately for another 10 bucks.
Walmart, here I come!
They are good for something!
I still won't buy fish there.

i just went searching for it and found where I asked it...It was under Pleco Help and acutally it was you....Thanks for answering my question again...That will come in handy because I'm going to be getting a new tank in Feb..This time I'm a little more educated and won't be using fish to cycle so that will work perfectly. Thanks again Shawnie
