Floating Bag versus Bucket

The two main ways I have found after doing research for aclimatizing fish is the floating bag method and the bucket method. Through experience, I have found it easier to do it using the bucket method but the downside to this as mentioned to me by scarface is the differing temperature. The floating bag method I found although works aswell as keeping the same temperature I found it distressed the fish in the bag as they could not get out and the fish in the tank swim in and around the floating bag causing further stress to the fish in the bag. Anybody who can help who may have tried and tested different ways.

Hi escobar
I have not added any new fish for a while , but the last time I transfered fish I just combined the 2 methods you mentioned . Just ask the store for an extra bag of water so you have enough in the bucket , and then float it in the tank . This worked for me because I have glass covers on my tank which can be positioned to steady the bucket , it probably wont work for all tanks.
You could also try putting the bag inside another bag which is not see through .
Hope this helps

This is by far the most beneficial, less stressful way to acclimate fish:

Can someone explain

Combined with proper quarantining methods, this will guarantee healthy, happy fish.... If you need methods of proper quarantining, feel free to ask.
