ammo lock??

ok, I have my fish tank (and my 3 serpae tetras) for over 3 months now.... After a lot of fights with the cycle, and a lot of mistakes from my part (I changed the filter only a month after getting started... I know...), I'm still not able to get rid of the ammonia!!!! I was doing a 25% water change every 2 days so far and using Prime for the new water. A week ago I did a 50% change and have been using ammo lock... still no luck, the levels are reading .25..... Any suggestions Thanks!!!!!!

only thing you can do with fish and a cycle is daily water changes of 50% with the prime until its done..took me 9 weeks with a 75gal

wish they sold patience in the store!

Cycling can be frustrating.

First, stop using ammo-lock, it 'locks' the ammonia and makes it unavailble to feed the bacteria.

Have you tested your tap water? What are you using to test?
