Fish Disease?

For the past couple of weeks (about 2) I have started to see string-like/algea-like stuff form on my fish, some of them are clean, but for the most part fish have algea-like things stuck to their fins and even their body. I've treated my aquarium with salt before and it stressed my tiger barbs, i tried tested for pH and Nitratre...etc levels and they are all fine, the temperature is 79-80F and every couple of days I find my fish struggling to live, they float upside down and sort of slowly move, their fins sort of stop moving, and they just paddle around with their back fin... I've lost about 4 fish

Are their fins rotting or something? What should I do? How can I treat it?

My Australian Rainbows have this furry thing all over their body but they are completly normal, and I havent noticed anything funny with them... besides the fact they look like they have garbage all over them.

I'm sorry your fish are ill.

Is it possisle to post a pick?

I wonder if your fish don't have an external parasite.
Furry or fuzzy stuff could be a fungus.

This looks like external parasites. Some plants host them and pass them onto fish. It is a common problem in Santo Domingo, and one of the reasons most LFS only sale fake plants. So far I have had no problems with these.

UV sterilization with properly adjusted flow should help with these. My vet suggested I did at least once a year "de-parasitation" (sic) on all my fish so I assume there is some available meds/treatment for that; I haven't make up my mind about doing this though...

Yeah, it sounds like external parasites to me. A pic would be helpful.
