uuuummm........... use a saw?? Or you could use a light saber? Sorry for being sarcastic I couldn't help myself.

But seriously I think if you just got a brand new hacksaw blade and cut it there wouldn't be a problem.........

yea ik that im not dumb... not trying to sound mean but i just wanted to know if it would cause somthing to get out of wack in the tank because of the possible metal shavings and or possible rusting because the wood has been soaking for a while

shouldnt be any metal shavings. if its a used hacksaw wipe it off really good, and then rinse the driftwood in the sink or bathtub thoroughly to make sure there is nothing on it, then I dont see why it wouldnt be fine to toss back in the tank

a sawsall will work great. just make sure you wash off the wood after it's cut.

sawsall would be awesome, no manual labour involved other than pulling the trigger

im not sure what kind of tools you have laying around, but hopefully a sawsall is one of them! if not, this might be a good time to 'need' one! hahaha

If you want a more "natural" look, you can just get a block splitter kind of axe and bash the ^%$* out of it with the pointy edge (Where you want it to break of course . This causes the wood to break on its own contours and allows for a more natural look.
