I upgraded Edda's tank last Thursday. Changed the substrate to Eco-complete, relocated her favourite plant (Anubias barteri) and her new smooth-edged large river rocks. She was quite active, exploring things around, eating as usual. Water parameters are great (
ammonia 0, Nitrites 0, Nitrates <10ppm,
pH 7.2, 8 dGH, 5
DKH), that small 5.5gal tank has two filters (small
HOB 85GPH + inside the tank fiber/charcoal). I was just going to adjust water parameters with Almond Tree leaves...
I just returned from the
LFS with anti-fungal medication, since a small area under her mouth, which recently healed, had signs of fungal infection (she got bad bruises a few weeks ago, which I treated with Methylene Blue successfully). I have no idea what happened, no signs of being really ill, if you know what I mean.
I went to my Camila, my 4 year old daughter, told her I was feeling sad, and when she asked why, I told her Edda passed away. She wanted to see her, I asked if she would like to say good-bye to her with me, she agreed. We flush her down the toilet waving bye for her... My daughter gave me a hug and said to me: don't worry pa, we can go to the store and bring another one and named her Edda! ...wasn't this supposed to be the other way around?
