??? on Ghost shrimp???

Hi: all i have a question on ghost shrimp. What are their reqiurments on housing feeding and such?i would like to purchase in the future, after cycle is complete.any info would be appreiciated.bella

They pretty much have the same requirements as most hardy fish. They are just more sensitive to nitrates, so keep up with water changes. They will just eat anything that they find on the bottom, so you dont really have to get them anything special.

Butters covered your question pretty well.

Only if you try to them to successfully breed them you should place extra/specific care. I would add that you secure the lid and minimize opening spaces, these fellows find their way out of tanks easily -no idea what they look for out there. You won't get bored with them in the tank, keep at least five of them there.

Food tip: they seem to eat everything, and they go after their food, but I assure they get at least some food that sinks (e.g. staples, algae waffers) since bigger, faster schooling fish would out-compete them, that way I don't err on overfeeding (which sends nitrates up).

Yes, they do molt and shed their exoskeleton.
Most of our shrimp are kept in a species only tank.
