would a five by two by two be expensive

would a 160 litre tank be expensive to run, for my tropical fish, and would my 200w heater be good enough

5x2x2? 160L/40g would not be expensive to run and that size heater would be more than adequate for the job.

I have 12 tanks running right now...2 55 gallon, 1 35 gallon and a bunch of 4-5 gallon betta tanks and my electric bill is below average....I don't think a 40 gallon would cost much at all......

We have 10 tanks going and ours went up a lot.
A single 40g would hardly register on the bill.

Allie, maybe it is because I unplugged Patrons filter......lol (kidding)..I'm very serious, I just got my electric bill and it was under $200.00..Considering I live in AZ and my air runs 24/7 that's not bad at all!

Hi
I read the heading as being 5 feet x 2 feet x 2 feet which would be closer to 160 gallons , not 160 litres .
Can you check the tank size ?
Your 200w heater would not cope with this size tank and a good quality high capacity filter would be needed to maintain water quality .

A 5'x2'x2' tank would be 566litres (150gal) definately not 160litres

You need at least a 300W heater, preferrably 2 of them. A cannister filter would be the best choice for a tank this size
