Fish suggestions for my 30 gal

Can anyone reccommed any fish to go in my 30 gal tank?

I'm gonna probably get another molly female and some more neons. Just not sure if i've reached my limit on that tank yet? And i'm hoping to fit a couple more fish if possible but not necessary if i'll be at my limit.

If there's room Matthew(my son) requests that they be brightly colored if possible!

So far i've only been able to get the 3 neons I have make it. The last time I bought 3 and one survivied bringing the total to 3. Knowing my luck if I buy like 8 to get 4 to live then they'll all live!

I also have an empty 10 gal tank for babies if my molly girl has anymore babies.

Thanks

Do you have a larger tank to move your clown loach to as he grows? According to LiveAquaria, they can grow up to a foot long...the only reason I know is that my roommate just had to take hers back to our LFS because our tank is too small also.

The reason I got the clown loach was because of the tadpole we got. He's all by his self. But the lfs had me buy a plant and feed him a leaf every few days and I had fry by them selves in a 10 gal and having no experience with plants I ended up with a ton of snails. Thus the purchase of a clown loach is what the lfs reccommended and they said he would get big and I could return whe he does start to get too big. So out plan was to return him eventually anyway.

He is a cute little thing and has done a great job with the snails. I gave them a common pleco a couple months ago that the exhusband purchased from petco. They told him he'd be just fine. But in a 1 1/2 he got to be about 4 inches. So I did the right thing and gave him to our fishman pet center. Even though he creeped me out I did kinda like him.

So I do know that one day he too will have to go.

Thanks for letting me know though cause you never know where I got him and how informative the seller is.

Good to know you did your research . Between my roommate and I (before we realized you can't trust everything the people at the fish store tell you) we had both a clown loach and a kissing gourami, both of which can grow up to a foot. I'll have to agree with you though, he was cute.

If you want a clolourful fish the bosemani rainbow is ideal, it grows to 4" and is peaceful. Always get 3 or more.

Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish and Golden White Cloud Mountain Minnows are both small and really colourful and active.
