Shawnie well seems i work on the weekends and have wed. & thur. off my weekends not here yet thank you for taking the time to read & answering my post I've got David Alderton's encyclopedia of aquarium & pond fish it has a lot of information on groups of fish but not too much on the sub speices and thats makes it hard to tell what one you've got oh well I'll just keep looking

I have a copy of The A-Z of Aquarium Fish which cost me $8.
Its not quite A-Z if you know what I mean , but does have over 300 colour photos.

Have you tried looking at your local library?? they may have some fish books there and if you like them you can hunt down your own copy and it may help to elliminate some...good luck.
