Does anyone know of an online store in the United States that sells Tetra SafeStart? I have found multiple stores in the UK but shipping is more then the product.

And yes, I have checked about 16 fish stores around my area, a few in NYC and am unable to find it or pure ammonia.

There has been a thread on a mail order source not to long ago. I don't remember the exact name, but it was something like plantsplace or something. If you do a search, you may be able to find it. Or maybe this will spark someones memory

I ordered it a week ago from paradise pet and still have not gotten it. Their customer service was great though. I emailed them asking about it and they told me " the demand is so high for it they ran out of stock but will have it in this friday. (today) So i'm hoping to get it sometime next week.

Well I just ordered it threw paradise and after the order was placed I realized there was not an option to change the shipping. I did email them and asked about a time frame for arival and if there is a way I can expedite the shipping. I'll post what they say when I get a reply.

So for anyone else out there that reads this thread, aquariumplants.com gives shipping options and go there if you want it quick.

I checked the dealer locator, just out of curiousity. Two "certified dealers" in my area are my favorite stores and I know from experience that they do NOT carry it!

I just thought that was interesting.

Yeah, I have the same problem. I have checked every local tetra dealer and they don't carry it, and when I asked about it they have never heard of it. I am sure when this product becomes more popular all stores will start stocking it.



Paradisepetshop currently doesn't have the product in stock and they are talking about getting it Wednesday of next week.

I would advise against using this stuff if possible. It took 2 bottles totaling 35 dollars for me. And it subjected my fish to ammonia, the cherry barbs are tough though so they made it through. Also the bacteria isn't live is dormant. You have to let the bacteria develop and re colonize. So I would put it in an empty tank and feed the tank ammonia until its cycled. DO NOT add fish right away because they will see ammonia. If possible find a LFS or friend that will give you cycled filter media.

They only have the 250ml Safestart in stock and the 250ml Biospira so if you are looking for the 100ml your outta luck for now.

My lfs immediately offered to order it for me. I don't know where you are in CT but in Fishkill, NY there is a store that will order it for you.
