I just got these today. Have no clue what they are, though they are very colorfull. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jewel cichlids would be my guess.
Do they have a lot of red coloration?

I would second that they are jewel cichlids, looks exactly like them.

I am going to third the idea that they are jewels. I would also like to note that it is always better to research a fish before you take it home.

I have a jewel. Mine can get very territorial towards my other fish. But then it's like he realizes what he's done & he goes back to his piece of granite & hides . very beautiful fish.
