ive always heard to boil your driftwood?? to remove any food coloring or dye.

Ok -- now I'm confused. Do you have driftwood in your tank or not? Because the first quote sounds like you do and the last one sounds like you don't know what driftwood is....

I don't know what driftwood is. All I know is that it makes your water look like a tea color, and that my tank has it...

Driftwood is something you buy. It's decorative wood, such as what's found here.

We thought you had driftwood that you had not boiled/soaked in a bucket of water in your tank.

I think twice weekly water changes will help solve it - it may be excess fish waste (do you ever siphon the gravel?) or something similar.

I siphon the gravel every week. But we only started doing this a few weeks ago because are siphon was broken..
