You're exactly correct some fish can be stocked by the 1 inch per gallon guide line and we have to be aware there are others that cannot.
Body mass, waste production and temperament are other things that have to be considered. So research before buying is your friend.
is a good thing to do. Some times you will hear conflicting information but if you continue to research you will see a pattern of care come out. There are some excellent sites out there for information.
