Setting up 55 gallon

I already have it worked out how I'm going to cycle it. By using safe start then adding a small school of cherry barbs.

What I really want to know and its something I didn't really think of doing until now was real plants. I was thinking maybe adding like 2 java fern plants because they seem easy to grow and don't require tons of light. I was just wondering when they should be added. Before or after the cycle. From what I have read you can just tie the roots to a rock or something and thats it. Is there anything I need to know about these plants? And with my tank stocked (cherry barbs, angelfish, dwarf gouramis) will their be enough co2 for 2 java fern plants.

alsol ast question.. if my lps doesn't have this plant is there anywhere a reputable site I could buy it from online.

thank you

Add them same time as fish? and I will message them if lps doesn't have any

and you think their will be enough co2 to go around? also since plants take in oxygen at night maybe I should add a bubble stone

thanks

bubbles stones are cool anyway even without plants..and the java ferns I have are in a tank with standard lights and no extra co2 ..I was told months ago, those and moss balls are easiest to grow for beginners..and I would add them anytime and just have them cycle with the rest of the tank...it worked for me ...but im sure everyone has an opinion on that

Yeah hopefully I'll setup one of those progress threads. First I have to build my stand and canopy, buy the tank, install fixtures in the canopy(i even got some moon lights) then setup the way I want it then cycle it add fish plants ect ect so I should have pics up for everyone by the end of next week
