Im expecting some babies from my black molly. One all ready popped out and is growing in the same tank as the big ones but just hiding in the plants to survive, but im afraid that if more fry come out at once there will be too many and they wont all be able to hide and they will get eaten. I have a special tank where you cant hook and nursrey tank on top, i it possibe that i could just put them in a seperet non heated container for a few weeks till the get bigger and i can sell them or move them into the big tank? Or will they freeze?

fry are very sensitive to different conditions...they need the heat like babies do...they have those breeder tanks that can hang over the side of your current tank that work well...and they arent very expensive..goodluck!

Thanks, but thats my problem, with the tank i have i cant hang a breeder tank over the edge, i dont know what to do.

you dont have an opening at the top of your tank? these breeder tanks have like a metal piece that just bends over the top of the tank..no clips or anything..so if you have an opening at all, it would slip through the breeder tank then just bend over the outside of the tank

I have a breeder tank for my mollies that actually sits inside of the water. It has a lid to prevent fish from jumping, and you pretty much set it in the water first, put the fish inside of the breeder, and then when she releases the fry, you take her out and just keep the fry in there. It's not that big, but it should help you out.
