Fish Bum

Well that gave me a heart attack x.x
Yesterday I was cleaning out my smaller tank, and I took it to the laundry room where the sink is biggest. I cleaned out the tank, and I put all the fish back, and just as I was about to but the lid on, I -thought- I saw a fish jump out of the tank. It was so fast I couldn't be sure. So I look in the tank and count the fish, and the male cherry barb is missing.
So I start panicing, looking on the floor, under the laundry machine, and the drier, and I can't find him.
And then, I look inside the laundry machine, and my mom finds him in there, laying on the bottom. He must have jumped in the small opening and fell in where you're supposed to put your hand to lift the laundry machine's lid.
He was looking okay yesterday, still swimming and everything. I put in some garlic, but today, he doesn't look like he's going to make it. D:
He's laying on his side on the bottom of the tank.
Sheesh. Fish is just not my forte.

Oh wow  really sorry about that.... I would have surely freaked out as much... I hope that he makes it!

I'm sorry the poor guy didnt make it, sounds like he was a trooper though. At least he got one last great adventure before passing.

Yea i guess that could be an adventure, i hate losing fish in the past week i lost 3 black neons, 2 red way platys, and 1 mickey mouse platy to ich its not fun |

I'm so sorry! I love cherry barbs, I would hate to lose one to something like that.
Also, can you stop cleaning out the tank? It damages the tank more than helps it, as it puts the fish under extreme stress and destroys bacteria needed to break down Ammonia and Nitrite. Weekly water changes are much easier and MUCH MUCH healthier for the tank!
