Finally cycled!!!

What do you guys recommend for weekly maintenance?
Should I continue to use products like prime or stress coat?

congrats on the cycle!!!!! its a great feeling isnt it..

you always use prime with weeklywater changes.....if thats your preferred water conditioner, which I might add I think is the best, then dont change it

why fix something that isnt broke!

Thank you. It does feel good. To be honest I think I will miss being so involved with everything. Maybe I'll start a new tank! Yeah, a 75g! Does a 30% weekly water change sound good for the exsisting tank?

And the MTS begins,LOL
30% a week is what I do with all of mine.Keep checking your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels as you add fish. The nitrate levels will let you know when you need a water change.I change between 20 and 30% every week, regardless of what the nitrate level is.
Congratulations on the cycled tank. And if you do decide to start another one,you now have a filter to borrow bacteria from.

ty I think

and yes your welcome...and do your water changes weekly no matter what your nitrate readings are...I think of it as Id not want to live in a house that doesnt ever flush the toilet even if my house was clean ...know what I mean ?

Congratulations on completing your cycle

Every Saturday morning I do a 25-30% water change, swish out the foam pads in my canister filter and clean the inside glass. I use stress coat as my water conditioner and add a little additionally to the tank each week in addition to what I put into the new water.

You know you want another tank.

What dechlor you use doesn't matter. Just choose one brand. I've used Prime, Stress Coat, Novaqua+, and a generic one with no additives (Tetra I think...it was a free sample with something) and I've found no difference. Whatever's cheapest, I guess. Just make sure not to get one that -removes- ammonia or anything.
