Eggs... I'm getting snails!!! ... or cories!!!

Woke up this morning to discover a patch of eggs on my aquarium glass! I'm guessing that they are snail eggs, as I only have cories, guppies, neons and trumpet snails in the tank right now.

I'm going to remove some, as I don't want to be flooded by snails, but I definately want more.

The cories seem really curious about them, but it doesn't look like they can pull them off the glass.

Out of curiousity, would a betta eat these? I just moved my betta to another tank yesterday.

Malaysian Trumpet snails do not lay eggs, but give birth to live babies.

I think those are corydoras eggs!

Right now you only have eggs you don't know if they are fertile. It will be unlikely all the eggs will make it to adulthood. Enjoy them while they are little and either get a bigger tank or sell them.

Hrm... woke up this morning and they were all gone. Obviously something at them.

They were most likely not fertilized anyhow. Oh well.

shame.

Could you not have removed them carefully to a small tank or separate vessel?

I could have, but the last thing I need is *MORE* fish.

Eeek... I've got more eggs again.

Still doubt that they're fertilized, but I think I'm going to move them someplace safe to see what happens.

Good luck looking after these new ones Calab - I wish my fish would spawn more often. I've only ever had one group of fry and I lost all of them except one (who is now half the size of it's mother and growing fast!) - Seems my fish don't trust me enough to try again! :P

Enjoy your second chance, and keep us posted!
