2 50% water changes in one day?

My tank is still cycling with fish. I have already done a 50% water change today. I need to level out my tank but I cannot lift it while it's full. Would it hurt to do another 50% water change? The off kilter water level is driving me nuts!

I was using cycle but have since been informed it is no good. I am going to try and locate tetra safe start. It has been 4 weeks and I am starting to lose my mind.

aww I totally understand....took me 9 weeks with a 75 gallon..hauling those buckets daily just about killed me~! my faucets dont have proper hook ups for a python but in the meantime, the daily changes will be great..so yes again, two changes wont hurt it by any means ...

Buckets!?! No way! If it weren't for this vacuum pump the tank would be in pieces and I'd be pulling glass outta my foot. Thanks for the help.

when i was cycling with fish and i had ammonia 8ppm i was doing 2 water changes a day of 50% cuz that what the experts here said and it worked just fine. i used to do one febore i went to work in the morning and one at night when i got home. lots of work in a 75gal tank but worth it cuz i manage to save all my fish.
good luck!

Shawnie you should buy the python no spill thing. it works great!!! when i was doing daily water changes in my tank and had to do it with buckets it was sooooooo hard. i was using a 20gal bucket and draggin it up and down my apt and my back hurt so bad. now i'm all better and i love to do water changes!!!

Hauling buckets is good for your health, as long as you don't have pre-existing conditions to cause that much weight being lifted to cause you actual harm.

5g bucket full of water is just over 43 pounds, plus weight of the bucket.

Only 48 lbs? Now I feel like a big wimp cause I only fill my 5 gallon bucket 2/3rds of the way before I haul it out... lol. ^_^"
