I am a brand new molly owner; have 3 mollies right now in a new 55 gallon tank; we are going out of town. How do I make sure they get fed during those three days?

Welcome to fishlore memaw! they have automatic feeders but you gotta pay some good money to get one that wont foul up and overfeed or under feed...

or they make some gel ones but I get scared as to what that leaves in the tank...

How long will you be gone? because a nice feed the day you leave, then 4-5 days wont hurt them to fast on whats sunk would be alright...goodluck!

Your mollies will be able to go 3 days without being fed. I'd just give them a meal before you go and after you get back. A vacation feeder can either cost a fortune or malfunction and fish can go more than a few days without food.
