Fish finally! What do i do next?

Ok, finally, after one week of researching everything there is to know about having tropical fish, getting biospira and buying anything you could ever need for fish keeping, I finally went and got two beautiful dwarf gouramis, one platy and two mystery snails for my (my boyfriends ) 28Gal tank. now...

what do I do? I know that you have to keep on measuring the water levels of ammonia and stuff while the biospira kicks in but i am finding myself in need of general advise. Like, how much to feed, when to feed, water temperature, light, etc...

Btw, thanks to all of you. Without the help from thios forum I would have never been able to get my tank going.

First off, no water changes for at least 7 days and no testing either or you will go nuts reading the crazy tests for the first week, LOL, I remember freaking but it will be ok..then start testing after the week ends...id feed as much as they can eat in a min or two twice a day..my gourami's get flakes in the am, and bloodworms n brine shrimp at nite...I keep the lights on about 6-8 hours a day and my temps are about 78 in all my tanks...thats just me im sure others will help as well..goodluck

Pretty much for most of your questions, what ever is easiest. I feed once every two days, flakes, pellets, or frozen food. I turn my lights on in the morning, and off at night.

Pretty much i'd do whats ever easiest for you!

Congrats too!
