Will vitachem for saltwater tanks/fish work in a fresh water tank?

I bought some Vitachem for salt water tanks on accident online and don't feel like jumping through all the hoops to return it. Is it ok to use in my tank (two five-gallon tanks with one betta each, one ten-gallon tank with a betta and a BN pleco, all tanks containing live plants) or should I find someone to give it to? Thanks!

The makers of vita-chem say that you can, indeed, use saltwater for freshwater and vice versa, though the freshwater has been optimized for most freshwater fish and the saltwater has been optimized for most saltwater fish.
I did the same thing and went to the vita-chem website, and they have this question in its FAQs. I've been using the SW stuff for months now, and have had no problems with it.

You can use either, but get less benefits using the one geared for the other type of water.

Almost precisely how the website worded it.
