new fish bag?

i bought 3 leopard corries yesterday, when i got them home i noticed that in the bag they came in was some floating white matter, anyone know what this could be, parasites, fungus or nothing to worry about. i dont have a q tank so i put them in a 5 gallon bucket with tank water and sieved it with net, washed net and then added corries to main tank and refilled with fresh water. prob should have took them back.

It could be any kind of debris, planaria, even leftover food, etc from the fish store tank. Most likely nothing to worry about.

I would have to agree with bettacouple. Its probably just debri's from the pet store tanks. You shouldnt have a problem especially with the method in which you put them into your tank. You didnt transfer any of the water in the bad to your tank so you should be fine.

Thats exactly why I put new fish in a special bowl and add tank water gradually to acclimate them then net them out to go in their tank. store water should never go in your tank, you just never know what is in it( I know I'm paranoid ). Could have just been food floating in the bag but you just never know.
You did good
