My fish are dying

Lately my fish in 10 gallon tank were dying one by one. No matter what fish i had and no matter if i had one fish or 3 or 4 fishes. I did water testing and here are the results (liquid test kit).
Amonia .25
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Low PH Range 7.6
High PH Range 7.8

Do you guys see any problem with this? Could this be a big enough cause for fishes to die. Right now my Aquarium is empty, i changed 50% of the water and i want to keep only one fish in it. Please give an idea about what fish do i keep in it. I want a fish whish is about 5-6 inch long.

I dont think you can keep a 5-6 inch fish in a 10 gallon, they will have no room to swim. You could keep a Betta.
Looks like your tank is just beginning to cycle, how long has it been set up? The ammonia could kill fish, especially more sensitive ones. You should wait until there are no ammonia or nitrites to get a fish.

Hi!

Blame the ammonia! Get the tank cycled first. No 5-" fish will live in a 10gal - not enough space! A betta will be lovely though.

My tank was cycled a long time ago.
How about if i have 2 or 3 mollies? Would they work fine?

Unfortunately, it seems that something un-cycled the tank. A cycled tank will have zero ammonia.

Mollies probably wouldn't be a good choice. They prefer a lot of swimming space, particularly vertically. A few male guppies would be good, someone suggested platies, neon tetras, a betta, or a single Odessa barb would be a few options that would work in a 10g.

or 3-5 smaller corys! Julii corys get to be 1.5" so in a 10g tank you could keep 6 of them! They love being on top of each other or laying side by side, even in my 29g in which I have only 3 right now. Just have an object or two in there that creates a few levels to the tank and they would be more than happy with it. In fact, in our next 10g , I think I may put a small school of julii's in

An excellent idea. I hadn't thought about them because I was thinking of fish that swim in the mid/upper levels.
A tank of cories would be really neat, though, if you like those types of fish (I do, some don't)

They are listed as bottom guys, and they do spend a good amount of time there, but mine spend most of the day racing all over the tank having good fun, either just the 3 of them or with the yoyos. Turn out the overhead light and all 3 will pack together in a corner and you can see em rock back n forth while they sleep.

Hi!

Exact opisite with my 5 Sterbai's... I really want to change my substrate to flourite so my plants will flourish, and corys will go mad!
