I somehow got some greasy fingerprints on the outside of my two tanks, and I wanted to make the outside shine again Is Windex safe to use on the outside of the tank on the glass? Thanks,

Spray it on to the rag/cloth far away from the aquarium.
Then use it to clean the glass.

DO NOT spray it on the glass and then clean, as some will become airborn and get into the tank.

I think I remember someone mentioning something that you can get at Target that's safer for aquarium glass cleaning?

News paper for cleaning glass.
All you do is grab a sheet, scrunch it into a loose ball, splash a little fresh water on it, rub it on the glass, then get another sheet, scrunch it and give the glass a polish.
Works great on car window etc..
