Black neons with neon tetras?

Hi. I have six neon tetras right now. I went to the local store to get three more so I would have a school of nine. The store didn't have any, and said the black neons would school just fine with the neons. Is this true? Will they be buddies?

<SORRY THE HUBBY AND I BOTH POSTED ABOUT THIS QUESTION> can I delete one of them

Hubby went fish shopping and brought back some questionable combinations

I noticed that one of my guppies is really picking on the other other one. I thought that it may help to have more guppies to kind of spread the attention out. I also thought I should get a few more neons to bring our neon count to 9 to help releave stress and reduce the risk of the Ich coming back. I sent my hubby to the store to get 4 guppies and 3 neons. He came back with:

2 guppies
2 fancy guppies
3 black neons
and 2 white cloud minnows

The plan is to take the white cloud minnows back tomrrow because they like cooler water than all the other fish. They will be going into my 10 gallon q tank for the night

my questions are

1: will the regular guppies and the fancy guppies swim together, or should we take the fancy guppies back?

2: will the black neons swim with the other neons or should we take them back too?

I have white cloud minnows in my 30 g community tank, and they do fine at 78deg temps. Just thought that might help you, if you want to keep them...they are nice little guys...

good to know... from what we were reading, it looked like they like their water around 72 degrees

I have a single black neon tetra with about 10 neon tetras. There hasn't been any problems. My tank isn't that big, so I can't really tell about the schooling. No harm will come from it, that is for sure.

a guppy is a guppy. They cant tell one is fancy and the other not.

You could keep the wcm but I would take them back and get some more neons.

I haven't see Black Neons schooling with Neon Tetras. But they get along well.

The guppies will probably shoal, but I'm not sure that they'll all school together. The male guppies will be Romeos to the females regardless of what type they are.

Not sure on the Neons, but again I'd guess they'd maybe shoal, but not school.

EDIT: Found your other thread and merged them.
