Fish Protector is a great treatment, but we use it almost like a vitamin supplement. NovAqua+ is my 2nd favorite tap water conditioner, of what's commonly available.
Some diseases and such can go dormant so sterilizing is the way to go with that disease I think. But the fish in there would naturally need a new place to live - MTS!

My brother is looking for it locally,IF we can find it for cheap then I will take my tank down and clean it.
I like the fish in my tank WAY to much to put them through a cycle.
I do have a 10 gallon tank (not cycled) that has platie fry in it now. I could put a divider in it so there are fry on one side and my fish on the other.
Other than Prime, what is a good tap water treatment?
If I do clean the tank I would need some thing that detoxes heavy metals and the Bleach that I will use to clean the tank out.
I can get Amquel and NovAqua+ Plus but the Novaqua is $11 for 16 Oz at our LPS.
They only will knock the price down IF the price I give them counts the shipping.
