Water testing

Can anyone advise me of any automatic/digital/automatic water testers on the market that test for all the nasties, High pH, kH, gH, Nitrite and nitrate and make you aware of their presence?
I've just set up my first tank for about 30 years and am paranoid about gettint eh water quality right and keeping it that way.

I am also going to be watching this thread. I am color-blind, which makes reading the regular test tube color-changes a bit tricky (I have to rely on my secretary to read the results).

there are digital testers. you can go to marinedepot.com and they are called "American Marine Pinpoint Aquarium Controllers & Monitors"
just look in the controller category under supplies. if you can afford them by all means get them.

Thanks for the link. I guess my secretary will have to get used to reading my results every now and then. I guess I should make a category on annual review for "Water Quality Interpretation"

I'd love those testers, but the price does make me stick with the old-fashioned method.

Me too. The price makes me want to add the "Water Quality Interpretation" section to my secretary's review. I can't afford the digital meters, and it is terrible to need someone else to read the test tube/cards.

Yea, it's too bad there isn't a test kit for those who are color blind, but other than digital meters, I'm not sure if such a thing is possible.

My husband and I have play the 'What color do you think this is?' game.
Neither reveals their answer until the other has looked.
