What corys should i get?

I am having a VERY hard time picking ONE type of them.

I was going to go with Pandas but I went looking for old cory posts and saw that not many people had good luck with them AND they are $3.99 each, that was for the SMALL ones they where $7.99 for the medium ones, from my LFS.For that price I want something that is not going to die on in a few month.

My LFS get there fish from local and national breeders so I think that is way there prices are high.

What kind should I get?

I have a 10 gallon with 1 fire goroumi and 4 plaies but they will be moving to my moms 40gl long tank here soon.
Thanks

I had emerald corys, they would have lived but. . . It was not the fishes fault to say the least. I liked the color on them, when they went in the light you can really see the green in their scales. (plus it was them or albianos for me)

Any corys that are nice, cute and fun to watch.

I know my LFS has peppered ones, maybe Bronze ones. I have to call out there and ask what kind they can get.

There is a cory that LOOK like the panda but its not. I do not remember its name. I am going to go hit corys r us on aqua bid and look for ones.

I think it's the striped cory you're thinking of -- it has a black strip down its eye like a panda, but the back stripe is horizontal and runs along the top of the back, under the dorsal fin. I've only seen them in pictures; never at an LFS around here.

The thing about corys is that they will not do well at all if you don't get 3-5 of them right from the start.

Your current tank is FULLY stocked right now. You can't add any in the 10 gallon tank, you would just be throwing your $$$ away, because you can't keep the water parameters in the proper range. Wait till you can move over into the 40 gal, then you can get the number you will need to have them happy.

They do vary in size, so check the adult size of the kind you want.
