Eating Poop

What kind of fish eat poop that don't have a large bioload and dont get to big? I need one for my 55G because the poop is insane in there and it looks horribly messy about 3 days after a water change/vacuum

.. There is not really much that'll do that, other than shrimp, but you already have cherry shrimp. As the cherries multiply they'll break it down into smaller, less visible particles.

Only other fix is to do a quick vacuum every few days, or just stir it up before you leave for school and let the filter grab most of it.

Alright I guess I'll wait for the cherrys to multiply and in the meantime just stir it up and vacuum

Master Of Fish Poo!

I remember when we started out, the "fish expert" at petco told us that cories eat poop. LOL. He gave so much bad advice it's pathetic, I don't think any fish eats poop. There are solutions to dissolve waste, but I'd rather clean it up than add more chemicals to the tank.

Actually, there is something that 'eats' fish poop -- live plants. As it breaks down, the plants use some of the waste products as nutrients.

But yea, regular cleaning is the best way.
