since my kribensis seems to find my catfish a tasty snack, and has eat one about 2 inches long and the one an inch long, i was thinking maybe a BN pleco would a suitable choice? since my catfish was a great cleaner

Wow, I would not have expected 2 kribs to be THAT aggressive.

Are they spawning?

actually, it was just the female, the male is pretty calm and doesn't really care about the other fish. and the catfish is the only she ever picked on, she doesn't go near my tetras or molly

Hmm.. what level(s) of the tank does your female krib tend to swim? Did the upside down cats swim in the same level(s)? What about the other fish?

And the male hasn't colored up or either of them shown any indications they might want to spawn? do they have a cave or flowerpot, etc in the tank?

here is the pic of my female, the male hasn't coloured up yet, but hes also smaller than the female so im thinking he might a little young to start spawning.
but my catfish just hung out on the side of the rock all the time or in the hole in the middle of it upside down.

hmm.. that really sounds odd. It could be that I just don't know enough about the cichlid family yet to be looking at this right. I wonder what Allie would think of it, she's got way more experience than me with cichlids and especially kribs.

these are the first cichlids that i've had, so i don't know a whole lot about them either. the definately look healthy, and they seem happy to me. have to find an expert somewhere lol

lol.. we have a black angel and 5 Julies that we got in November - our first cichlids. I think Dino, CWC and Allie know a lot about cichlids, along with other members, just those 3 are the first ones that come to mind.

i love the colours that cichlids come in, hopefully santa gets me a nice 55G lol i've got my eye on these black and neon blue ones that look awesome
