Moving?

Hey. I am setting up a 10g tank in my dorm room (that's all I'm allowed). Now, I don't live here permanantely. Once I get it cycled and fish live in it, what is the safest way to move at the end of the school year? Thanks!

i'd put the fish into double sealable bags or plastic bags you can tie off that will definitely hold the water. put them in a cooler using newspaper as 'cushion'. the gravel and filter could go in another cooler in some tank water to keep the good bacteria wet. put all the decor in the tank after emptying it and you're ready to go. If it's a long trip, every so often open the bags to let in more air.

Re: Moving?

The fish actually should be fine. Breeders actually bag their fish the night before going to club meetings to sell them, though if you want to be safe it's ok to do it, just make sure to close them up again.
