As the subject says, I'm soon to be moving out my apt. into a new mobile home I'm purchasing. My question is that, what should I do or don't do when I actually move my tank. My tank is 39 gallons, so I'm planning to remove some water in order to move it.

Instead, should I get a plastic jar large enough for everbody and fill that wil tank water to move the fish? Then remove all the water out the aquarium to move it easier?

Were it me, I would goto the grocery store and get some quart size bags. Fill half water/half air. Put them in a box or styrofoam cooler with some towels around for insulation and drive carefully.

With the tank itself, I would syphon the water to the gravel, put any plants/decorations you have in 5 gallon buckets with some tank water.

Ideally, according to what I read, you want to save as much water as possible.
