Re: A new setup Fish Tank

Oh my.... Did you cycle the tank or just pour water and add fish ?? If you have no idea what I am talking about when I say "cycle" read this --> http://www.fishlore.com/NitrogenCycle.htm

Also you should really read all of this ---> http://www.fishlore.com/Beginners.htm

If you have cycled your tank and know what I am talking about what are your water parameters for Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate ?

Re: A new setup Fish Tank

Do you have any fish left? If not, I'd recommend cycling your tank without fish and getting an api master fw kit to watch the ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.. the links that gargoyle sent you will help you run a successful cycle and have a tank ready for happy fish. when you add fish, remember to stick to 1" of adult fish per gallon in your tank (with the exception of large fish that need more room)

If you do have fish left, use prime to treat your water and keep up with water changes (cycling with fish is discussed in those links also). Do you have any friends with cycled tanks?

Best of luck with it and we're sorry that you lost your 4 fish.
