I have to acquire a 55gal for my growing synodontis eupterus. YAY. haha. But really, I'm so excited I'm already planning before I have the tank.

I'm going to try to reproduce the biotope of the While Nile. It feeds into Lake Victoria, so..you know. Whateve that means, haha. I have more research to do.

I know they like muddy bottoms, so a fine grade substrate is it order. And rockiness. Lots of rocks and swimming room. I guess I'll be getting cichlids... does anyone know what kind I should get?

actually, I want an African butterly fish. BAD. so anything to go with both of these?

I have no idea what goes with those, but I LOVE ELECTRIC YELLOW LABS. So if I had a 55gal I would have those. But as for your setup-- no idea, just puttin my 2 cents in!

they are beautiful!! unfortunately, they live in lake malawi, and im trying to stick to riverine cichlids there are soem pretty ones of those, though
