This may be a silly question, but I have had an airstone running full tilt in my 5 gallon tank for over a month now to bring the botom water up to the top due to its depth. Is it possible to have too much air in the water for the fish? Can this ever do them any harm? I have not read amything to indicate it will hurt them, but I just wondered.

Nope. I don't think you can have to much oxygen in your tank. No questions are silly here Rose when it comes to taking care of your fish!
