OK, so i don't know what type of fish it is, but when i had my last disaster, i went and got some really hardy fish to keep the tank cycling after my whole tank got wiped out through a 50/50 between stupidity and being unlucky.

Now, the current problem.

one of these fish have a eye that appears to be popping out. Its not normal though. If i look real close it has a white dot almost in the eye (almost certain this is not ich, as i've seen that twice before), and a stringy bit abot 1/2mm long and another white dot, almost like a bit of waste has attached to its eye.

it swims fine, and has been fine for a while. i thought it was just a general injury to start with, but its gotten worse. The eye is slightly red under the eye (they are slightly transparent).

any idea's on this and effective treatment. saturday tomorrow, so i was thinking of getting him some feel good stuff.

I don't have the crayfish in there anymore either, so most treatments should be ok. generally its neons, and these large type neons in the shape of piranha's. My partner can tell you all their names but names like "peanut" and "rocky" aren't going to help you much are they!?

:o That sound strange, do you think it might be a worm? I know it is hard to get a really close look, but if you check out the descriptions of paracites, it almost sounds like that could be what this is. That is my best suggestion. Good Luck
